Pultruded Heavy-Duty(HL) FRP Grating

Pultruded Heavy-Duty (HL) FRP Grating is engineered for applications requiring exceptional load-bearing capacity and long-span performance. Designed with reinforced heavy-duty bearing bars, it delivers outstanding strength, corrosion resistance, and durability for demanding industrial and infrastructure projects.
Availability:

Pultruded Heavy-Duty (HL) FRP Grating is manufactured using the pultrusion process, producing high-strength fiberglass bearing bars with an increased cross-sectional profile for superior structural performance. The bearing bars are mechanically assembled with cross rods to form a rigid and durable grating panel capable of supporting higher static and dynamic loads.

Compared with standard pultruded I-Bar and T-Bar grating, the Heavy-Duty (HL) profile offers greater stiffness and load capacity, making it ideal for applications involving heavy equipment, maintenance vehicles, or high pedestrian traffic. It combines the advantages of FRP—including corrosion resistance, lightweight construction, and low maintenance—with enhanced structural strength for the most demanding environments.

Available with gritted or smooth surface finishes, multiple resin systems, and customized panel sizes, Pultruded Heavy-Duty (HL) FRP Grating can be tailored to meet specific project requirements.

Features & Characteristics

Exceptional Load Capacity. Designed with reinforced heavy-duty bearing bars, the grating provides outstanding strength for high-load industrial applications.

Long Span Performance. Its enhanced structural profile allows for longer unsupported spans, reducing the need for additional support structures and lowering installation costs.

Excellent Corrosion Resistance. Manufactured using premium polyester, vinyl ester, or phenolic resins, it resists chemicals, moisture, saltwater, and harsh industrial environments.

Slip-Resistant Surface Options. Available with gritted or smooth surfaces to provide reliable footing in dry, wet, or oily conditions.

Lightweight Yet Durable. Although significantly lighter than steel grating, it offers excellent structural performance, making transportation and installation more efficient.

Electrically & Thermally Non-Conductive. FRP material provides electrical insulation and low thermal conductivity, improving workplace safety.

Low Maintenance. Unlike steel, FRP will not rust, corrode, or require painting, reducing maintenance requirements and extending service life.

Advantages of Concave Surface

The Heavy-Duty (HL) profile is specifically engineered for applications where standard pultruded grating may not provide sufficient load capacity. Its reinforced bearing bars deliver greater stiffness and strength while maintaining the lightweight and corrosion-resistant advantages of FRP.
