C Clips are specially designed panel joining clips used to connect two adjacent molded FRP grating panels. They help minimize differential deflection between panels, improve load distribution, and create a more stable and secure walking surface.
Assembly: Each Type C Clip assembly consists of a stainless steel joining clip, an Allen cap bolt of the appropriate length, and a threaded base nut. For easier top-side installation, the base nut can be pre-welded to the clip. The assembly can be tightened using a standard Allen key, providing a fast and reliable connection between adjacent grating panels.
Installation: Position the C Clip over the two adjacent load bars at an angle, then rotate the clip until it sits horizontally beneath the grating. Insert the Allen cap bolt through the top of the grating into the threaded base nut and tighten securely with an Allen key. This top-side installation method allows for quick and convenient installation without requiring access beneath the grating.
